Youth Ministry

The Lord is really blessing the Church with youth ministries which are thriving, exciting and a great place to be. Our children and youth work is split into three different age groups, but are all held on Friday evenings (term time only).

Compass Club

Our youngest group “Compass Club” is best suited to 4-8yr olds. We meet on Fridays (term time) from 5-6:30pm. We have a fantastically fun time every week and it is a blessing to see many more children joining us each new term.

In Compass Club we sing (usually songs with loads of actions), learn bible stories, play games, make fab crafts and have snacks & drinks. If you’re interested in joining us just come in the main doors of the church and down the stairs on your left. If it’s a child’s first time with us they will need an adult to register them.

BLAST

Our older youth group is called BLAST and is held on Fridays (term time) from 6:30-8:30pm.BLAST stands for Bible Learning and Spiritual Training and our aim is to offer the youth a fun, relaxed environment in which they can learn how to deal with issues that they face in their everyday lives. Our group is split into two age groups 9-11yrs (juniors) and 11 and over (comprehensive).

Youth for Truth

The junior group is Youth for Truth. Their evening runs along these lines:
SINGING - Loudly!!there are no shy ones amongst this group!
LESSON - We look at topical subjects in the Bible eg(self control, peer pressure, patience etc) and then talk about how we can relate what the Bible says to our everyday lives.
FOOD & TUCK - A very popular time!!! Each week our helpers prepare food (hot dogs,chips,pizza etc.) There is no charge for this however if youth want anything from the tuck shop they need to bring some money along.
GAMES - Crazy, crazy time!!From water games to sack races in duvets it’s all happening!!

FROGs

Our older group is FROG Squad. These are the comprehensive aged youth so they don’t enjoy anything childish like crazy games & tuck shop (only joking LOL!!) For the first hour of the evening they are separated from the youth for truth and have a more casually led discussion on topics relating specifically to them. The Bible holds the answers to any questions we have and any problems we face and they discuss these issues with each other and their leaders.

Afterward they join the youth for truth for food, games and tuck shop time. BLAST is a great place for youth to come along and escape the pressures that they face. It is relaxed, loads of fun, and we love to see them.
